The Bonn Network AISBL aims to increase the collective capacity and cooperation in rapid and in long term assistance to media as an integral part of conflict prevention and peace building.
Background
The Bonn conference on Media in Conflict Prevention and Peace Building - Rapid Actions and Coordinated Strategies, hosted by Deutsche Welle, invited and gathered virtually all significant intergovernmental, non-governmental and international media organisations as well as researchers and donors working with media to build peace and prevent conflicts.
Following the enthusiasm and support for better cooperation a dozen international organisations later met to form a Global network - the Bonn Network - to make a real difference for media's role in creation of peace in regions ravaged by war and violence.
Scope of Work
